About
We are a passionate group of like-minded education professionals from all over the Nechako Lakes school district in different roles and at different places in our diversity learning journey. We have the tangible goal of creating learning spaces with intercultural understanding, empathy, and mutual respect. People interested in delving deeper into social justice topics to support and foster a positive shift in their practice are welcome to join us or reach out for support.
Mission
We are interested in supporting students, colleagues, and community members in navigating the complex diversity topics that are emerging in our schools and communities. Our goal is to develop a network of support for the community to cultivate learning and working environments that honours cultures, communities, and individuals by supporting equity-seeking groups.
Vision
As a local specialist association, we are interested in offering mentorship, providing professional development, curating powerful resources, addressing emergent diversity issues, learning about equity issues, confronting unconscious biases, and spreading the love.
